7 Days Lemosho Route: Joining Group Kilimanjaro Trek 2027

Lemosho Route - 7 Days | Arrival Day: July 23, 2027 | Trek Starts: July 24, 2027

Overview of the 2027 Lemosho Group Climb

The 7-day Lemosho Route is one of the most scenic trails on Kilimanjaro, offering panoramic views from different sides of the mountain. As a premier route, it’s an excellent choice for climbers, combining stunning scenery, low crowds, and a high summit success rate. This route is ideal for moderate climbers as it allows ample time for acclimatization. For beginners, we also recommend reviewing our flexible scheduling options or upgrading for additional gradual ascent.

The Lemosho Route begins on the western side of Kilimanjaro at Londorossi Gate, with the trek winding through lush rainforests to the Shira Plateau over the first two days. The route continues east to the Lava Tower before descending towards Barranco Valley via the Southern Circuit, ultimately summiting from Barafu Camp.

What to Expect on Your Trek

Your adventure starts with a comfortable 4-hour drive from Moshi to Londorossi Gate, where you begin your trek on the western slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro heading toward the iconic Shira Plateau. Along the way, you pass through diverse climate zones, from lush alpine meadows to permanent arctic ice. The climb features a gradual profile with exceptional acclimatization opportunities.

With spectacular vistas, unique flora, and manageable crowd levels, the Lemosho Route remains a top favorite for hikers aiming for the Roof of Africa.
