Founder's Journey: From Humble Beginnings to Success
Pamoja Kilimanjaro & Safaris was founded by Richard Moshy with a deep passion for sharing the natural beauty and rich
cultural heritage of Tanzania. Growing up in Rombo Village at the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, Richard was captivated by the adventurous
tales his uncle, a safari guide, would tell. Inspired by these stories, Richard dreamed of helping others fulfill their own dream adventures.
Starting his journey as a porter in 2004, Richard dedicated himself to learning the intricacies of the profession through hard work and perseverance.
Over the years, he has gained invaluable practical experience and formal training. Richard is KINAPA (Kilimanjaro National Parks) certified,
which includes medical training, and he holds an Advanced Certificate in Tourism at the college level. As an active member of the Kilimanjaro
Guides Association, he continuously strives to provide the highest quality trekking and safari experiences.
