6 a.m. for your morning Safari
Tanzania is arguably the best safari destination in the world.
It’s the largest country in East Africa and is made up of amazing landscapes and diverse ecosystems.
Seeing African animals in the wild is an incredible experience, but it can also be an intimidating one.
There are so many unknowns for a first-time safari-goer. Pamoja Kilimanjaro & Safaris team will make sure your dreams become reality
You will be met by our tour guides at the Killimanjaro airport/Bus station and transferred to your hotel; we are happy to recommend hotels in the area and/or make your hotel bookings for you. At this day before your safari, you will receive briefing information from our tour guides concerning safari and game drive and other information about your safari
After breakfast the tour departs. First stop is Arusha Town for any last minute purchases before we head off on safari. Afterwards we head towards the Tarangire National Park for a game drive with picnic lunch at the park. Tarangire is well known for its huge elephant population and baobab trees. It forms the centre of an annual migratory cycle that includes up to 3000 elephants, 25,000 wildebeest and 30,000 zebras. Dinner and overnight at accomodations of your choice (camp, 3,4 or 5 star lodge)
After breakfast, depart for Serengeti National Park, via the beautiful high lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains.
Two full days Serengeti National Park game drives. Overnight at accomodations of your choice (camp, 3,4 or 5 star lodge)
Early morning games drives and after depart to Ngorongoro Conservation area. We will stopover at Olduvai Gorge, boasting with a history dating back to the dawn of time. It was here, that the anthropologists Drs. Lois and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of Nutcracker Man; and Handy Man;, both very significant links in the chain of human evolution.
Overnight at accomodations of your choice (camp, 3,4 or 5 star lodge)
After an early breakfast, you will descend over 600 meters into the crater to view wildlife. Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro conservation Area supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. On evening you will get back to your hotel in Moshi/Arusha or droped off at the airport for the late evening flight.
After an early breakfast we will drive to either Lake Natron or Lake Eyasi. Both options offer unique, remote landscapes with opportunities for exposure to rich cultural traditions. Lake Natron is a salt lake in Tanzania’ Rift Valley, located north of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, near the Kenyan border. Ol Doinyo Lengai, an active volcano, dominates the landscape here. The surrounding area is semi-arid and dusty. Box lunch provided.
Early morning adventure, late afternoon you will get back to hotel in Moshi/Arusha or drop off at airport for your late evening flight.
