Maasai is one of the unique Africa tribe who still live on their own culture. They have a good and fantastic social, political and religious tradition. Maasai are nomadic tribe they are living on a pastoral life style and manage themselves on their own culture.

They are among the best known local populations due to their residence near the many game parks of the African Great Lakes, and their distinctive customs and dress. The Maasai speak Maa (ɔl Maa), a member of the Nilo Saharan language family that is related to Dinka and Nuer. They are also educated in the official languages of Kenya and Tanzania, Swahili and English. Visit Maasai Boma, Maasai medicine walk, and Maasai dance.

Unforgettable Olpopongi Maasai Cultural Village Tour & Museum is the first authentic Maasai Boma and Museum with overnight facilities in Tanzania. Olpopongi provides a unique Maasai & wildlife experience in the West-Kilimanjaro Maasailand, Just 85 km from Arusha While at the village you will share the authentic Maasai life & culture. The income obtained from your tour supports local Maasai families with water, food, employment, personal income, medical treatments and education. All Maasai – jewellery on sale is hand-made and produced by the local Maasai women of other nearby villages. All Museum tours & walking safaris are performed by experienced English speaking Maasai guides.

You will be picked up at your hotel in Moshi town at 0800hrs and transferred to the Olpopongi Maasai Village. Stop At: Olpopongi – Maasai Cultural Village & Museum, Moshi, Kilimanjaro Region.

While at the village you will be given a tour of the village and museum to get a better understanding of Maasai culture and tradition. You will also go on a short walking safari and learn about Maasai hunting techniques and their natural medicines. A traditional lunch will be prepared for you in the afternoon.
