Cycling around Mount Kilimanjaro it will pass you through six different villages with different tribes Chagga and Maasai, where you will learn more concerning their culture, and enjoy the geographical views from 800m above the sea level to nearly 3000m above the sea level.

What to Expect

For us, however, the best route is currently that which takes in Kilimanjaro’s little-visited northern side. For those interested in the culture of the people who call the mountain their home – a culture that, on this side of the mountain, remains largely untouched by the trespasses of the tourist – this trip has no equal.

Itinerary

Day 1Moshi to Lake Chala via Marangu

Depart from the hotel to Lake Chala via Marangu village

Day 2Lake Chala to Useri Village

After the breakfast we will cycle through Chagga village to Useri village and camping for dinner and overnight

Day 3Useri Village to Rongai

From Useri camp, we will continue our cycling to Rongai village

Day 4Rongai to Olpopongi Maasai Cultural Village

After breakfast we will cycle to Olpopongi Maasai cultural village

Day 5Olpopongi to Momella – Arusha National Park.

Today we will continue our cycling to Momella in Arusha national park, camp and overnight

Day 6Momella to Moshi.

After breakfast we drive back to Moshi at the arrival hotel
